Our History

In 1986, previous owner, John Gallagher had one goal — to provide top quality exterior remodeling products and workmanship at a reasonable price along with incredible service before and after the job.

John Gallagher and John Ferris’ friendship sprouted from a mission trip in Mexico City 30 years ago. Both men held common values and interests and when John Gallagher decided to retire and sell his company, John Ferris decided to uphold what was built and continue the Exterior Designer Inc. name. John Ferris purchased the company in April 2020 and is thrilled to take on this new venture.

This new entrepreneur started with a simple philosophy & mission that still holds true to this day:

1. Provide customers in the western suburbs top quality siding windows and roofing and workmanship.

2. Demonstrate a passion for strong leadership in the community while promoting continued business growth. Embracing rock solid Midwest values, John always endeavored to provide homeowners with the highest quality exterior remodeling products available on the market.
